It’s often that one on one talk therapy is not the preferred experience for many clients. In these cases, I offer experiential outdoor nature based therapy, also known as eco-therapy, where we meet outdoors for the 50 minute session and invite the natural world into our frame of reference. Having our bodies in movement outdoors is inherently healing. I offer regulating and grounding practices that can be taken into the clients everyday life.
Eco-therapy, in short, is an established philosophy and evidence-based practice that centers on an individual’s relationship to nature and how it can be one of healing and growth. I believe humans are part of nature, not separate from it. As our modern lifestyles increasingly fuel stress and disconnection, reconnecting with the natural world—plants, animals, and all non-human life—offers us healing, balance, and greater purpose in our everyday lives.
