About

Gabi Villaseñor, MA, Registered Counselor Associate

My life has been a winding journey deeply rooted in art, collaboration, and connection to the natural world. My approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that we are dynamic beings naturally moving towards growth and change. I create a collaborative, non-judgmental, and trauma-informed environment that encourages clients to discover their inner resources, cultivate self-compassion, and embrace curiosity. Therapy is a courageous endeavor! and I support adults seeking greater embodiment, personal growth, and wholeness.

As a counselor, I believe in the profound healing potential of the therapeutic relationship and strengthening our relationship to the natural world. I believe we are all artists of our own lives, capable of investigating our experiences, challenging our patterns, and creating new ways of being. Working from the framework of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I help individuals cultivate psychological flexibility—breaking free from rigid thinking and reconnecting with what truly matters to them.

My background in the arts taught me to be curious about my own human experience, a quality I deeply cherish and bring into both my art and my therapy practice. Fascinated by human emotions, our collective resilience, and our evolutionary journey, I pursued further studies in Anthropology, which then ultimately led to my earning a Master of Arts in Professional Mental Health Counseling from Lewis & Clark.

Our work together honors each individual’s unique social context and personal journey. I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live a life driven by meaning, values, and genuine connection.
